Organoleptic:
Deep garnet colour, fruity aromas of strawberry and raspberry, sweet aromas of quince paste and dried figs and spicy aromas of cinnamon, cloves and white pepper. On the palate, it is soft and round with balanced acidity, silky tannins, sweet spicy flavours and long smooth finish.
Food pairing:
It accompanies ideally traditional Greek moussaka and Greek Pastitsio.
Served at 16-18 °C.
Origin:
The privately owned vineyards of 15ha in Meteora, Thessaly, Central Greece.
Altitude: 280-350m. Soil: clay, limestone.
Harvest: End of September.
Yield: 40-50 hl/ha. Age of vines: 20 years (average).
Agriculture: Organic.
Vinification:
Typical red wine vinification. Maturation in French oak barriques for 12 months. Acidity: 5.4 g/L TA, Residual sugar: 3.0 g/L.
