Organoleptic:
Deep red colour. Aromas of red fruits with fragrant overtones of chocolate and coffee, in harmony with the cinnamon and vanilla of the oak. A well-balanced and structured wine with fine tannins and the velvety richness of Mavrodaphne.
Food pairing:
Spicy Greek sausages, Greek lamb chops, Greek style pan fried pork chops, Greek Pastitsio. Served at 16 - 18 °C.

The vineyards of Mercouri Estate on the western coast of the Peloponnese, near Ancient Olympia.
Altitude: 80m. Soil: clay.
Harvest: End of September. Yield: 60-70 hl/ha.
Age of vines: 35 years.
Agriculture: Integrated farming.
Vinification:
Classic red wine vinification. Maturation for 12 months in French oak casks (mostly Allier) of 2nd, 3rd and 4th use. Acidity: 5.5 g/L TA, pH: 3.66, Residual sugar: 2.5 g/L.
